Jimmy and I carefully walk along the edge of the river, using it as a
guide. The river is much easier to see than any of our other
surroundings because its glassy surface reflects the moonlight.
“Hey
Jimmy, let's stop here for a second,” I said, turning to scour the rocky
banks of the river. Some areas are visible, but trees bow over and
shadow the ground in others, making it difficult to decipher anything. I
remember Jimmy is still holding my hand, so I point to my right and tell
him to see if he can find anything. I already scanned the wooded area
anything. I just want to get a good look at the embankment before he
does in case I find something he shouldn't witness.
